Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Thank you

I don't post much, but I wanted to thank all of you for your contributions. I have a 99 2500 2WD with Auto and 3. 54? gear with 168,000 miles. This forum has saved me alot of $$ and has given me the answers/confidence to solve many common problems myself. Specifically the infamous transmission hunt at 45 mph, starter contacts wearing out, and the discipline to have the transmission serviced regulary by the local Dodge dealer. My truck is used to haul copiers (Xerox) and I have a Tommy Lift, as well as tow my 20 ft boat and 30 ft travel trailer. My truck has been bullet proof so far. Original transmission, original lift pump... can you believe it??



Thanks for all of the great information, my subscription to TDR has paid for itself a 100x over.

Don, I'd say you dont post too much. Member since January 2001 and it says this is your first post. WOW! TDR is absolutely the source for our trucks.
