I found the control arms for my wrecked 93 thanks to some of the advice from TDR. Car-parts.com was the ticket. I had tried a place recommended by several wrecking yards I had called in Seattle, I am out in the boondocks, and they didn't have them and had no idea where to send me. So Car-parts was suggested here, so on Sunday I searched and found several yards within the Puget Sound with them in stock and had them shipped from Oak Harbor Autowrecking and got them today. I got both upper and lower for less than the dealer wanted for just the upper and the lower was discontinued in any case. So thanks for the tip. They came with the ball joints and since they are all apart I figure I might as well replace them. My question is did someone say they had instructions posted somewhere on how to do this. I searched the archives and didn't find it so maybe I am making up my recollection. I know the top comes out with that big special socket but how is the bottom done? Thanks Todd Miller

The bottom ball joint requires a press. It is similiar to a C clamp but has a couple special fittings. They sell them all kinds of places and you can pay almost nothing ($50-75) to tons for a snap-on ($$$) kit.

On the socket, there's 2 sizes for Chrysler ball joints, you need the bigger one. I bought a S-K brand for $35, I can give you the number if you need it. Snap-on.com has them for $55, I think...

You can rent the BJ press from AUto Zone. Takes a little "modification" to fit on our big joints, but dont tell anyone, and no one will be the wiser.
