A while back, I was asking for opinions on newer model Lance Campers. Most of the responses were positive. Based on that I ordered a 2012 Lance 850.
Yesterday I took delivery and my wife and I are quite pleased with it. It's the new aluminum framed type with all the panels being cut with CNC machines.
Being a total nitpicker like many of us, I crawled into every little space looking for flaws and shoddy construction. I was very impressed to find that the new models are very well made. I didn't find anything to complain about.
They now have all the water, black and gray tanks under the floor instead of on the sides like my old Lance. Roof is laminated with a plastic membrane and doesn't flex at all when you walk on it.
The Lance 850 is the only one they make that doesn't require a hitch extension to tow your toys. In the summer we are always towing something, 4 wheeler, boat or motorcycle.
