Hi guys,
a while ago I posted for help for long crank time to start, you guys directed me to the fuel system, thanks.
Saturday while along ways from home, with no tools, I noticed fuel leaking from the fuel return banjo bolt area. After being told by the local Dodge dealer that they couldn't help me, but I could leave the truck until Monday when they could take a look at it, I talked to one of the mechanics who was generous enough to loan me some tools. After replacing the rubber seals on both sides of the banjo bolt I found the real problem, a cracked fuel return line. I took it back apart, again with borrowed tools, and went to the muffler shop just down the road where the owner braised the crack for me. I put it all back together and it runs like a nose!
The cool thing is none of these guys would take any type of payment, they just said "get it back on the road". I drove away but came back with Corona and limes for all.
So to you, thanks for the great advice on looking at the fuel system, you were right on the money! (wish I'd have looked a little closer at home!) Mark
