Thanks Scott (massdiesel) and John (moparmuscle) for all your hard work!

These guys really put in a full days work (wow). They started early Saturday about 6:30 am and finished about 11:00 pm. They removed the transmission (I have a 4X4) and installed a DTT 91% TC, and VB along with the transmission update kit mainly to fix the 2-3 shift problem and let me say it really makes a difference. When the new VB was installed it increased the line pressure above the stock 1996 VB so the transmission PCM had to be reflashed. Scott notified me of the required code, which Dodge has to install so I drove home in limp mode. I still can’t believe that Dodge did not charge me to do the reflash.

While I was in Norfolk, Scott also installed a new 4” exhaust and 230HP fuel plate. I have gauges but no the pillar mount so they are still in the box. Scott didn’t think it was smart to tweak the HP up until they are installed so the new plate remains in the stock location (for now). Even with this setup it makes a big difference in acceleration from 40 mph. Now I can actually pass safely!!

Those are two great guys! Did you stand and watch Scott tear through the trans. ? Impressive. Definately worth the cake and the time.

Batman

Yep I did watch the rebuild. Norfolk is not exactly a major hub of activity if you know what I mean so if you don't want to stay at the shop I would bring a second car are maybe a camper to kill some time in. Personally I would not want to miss the action.

I live about 20 minutes from the shop, but I stayed and watched the action.

It's nice to get in your truck after, and realize how much better your truck is with the trans work.

nice

Sound like Scott runs a first class operation on the east coast.

Scott did get trained by the Guru so second best is not an option ;)

Driving is believing :D
