Fellas, this is long overdue! This guy saved me several hundies worth of labor on a job that I thought for sure we'd hafta farm out. Da house steers, rides, and changes lanes MUCH better now. I wanted to take him out for a STEAK dinner, and he wouldn't even stick around long enough to let me buy him lunch! :(

What can I say Don. I had a hot date that evening 200 miles away. :D

Glad to hear it is steering a lot better.

For the people not sure of what is being talked about. We replaced the king pins in Don's 1st gen motor home.

Philip is indeed, the spirit of what this group is about. He came Ohio last winter, suffered a crappy motel, and helped Scott perform surgery on my rig. His fine tuning on my TPS has made my transmission a lot more stable. And just like the Lone Ranger, he was gone in a cloud of dust... . well, #2 Smoke!

Three Cheers for Philip! Hip, hip, hooray! And besides all that, he's got a pretty good name!

Philip is one heck of a guy. A true TDR member all the way. Can't wait til this fall for another 1st gen cookout and repair day. Don good to hear you've upgraded the House. You ever get that fuel pressure gauge and piston lift pump installed?

Philip's just a great guy. Next time we meet I'm gonna see to it he's got enough cigars to smoke himself silly if he wants :)

Hey Phillip never got to say thank's for the help with the info on the kingpins. Job would definitely been alot tougher without your advice.

Bill, I did indeed get the piston pump and fuel pressure gauge installed. I used a Holley 15 PSI electric fuel pressure gauge from Jegs. I can highly recommend this gauge to anyone who deosn't wanna wait 10,000,000 years for Westach to get off thier lazy hind ends and produce more units for Genos. The sending unit is actually a Stewart-Warner and the Gauge itself is made by 'Faria'. Anyhow, with a fresh Racor in place I see a constant 14PSI whilst on the road. Once it starts to swing up and down and up and down and then go to zero however, it's time to stop and swap on another fresh Racor. Friggen' rusty cruddy tank! #@$%!

Friggen' rusty cruddy tank

I hear you... I fought thru this on my boat for several years one bad load of fuel goes a long way. :(

You could consider pumping it out cleaning your tank and filtering the fuel going back in.

Or just keep a bunch of Racors in stock!!

Jay

Jay,

I dropped this tank last year and took it to my local gas tank RENU place. Well the guy farted around with it half the summer. I stopped in there after about two months and he told me that he was trying to locate another used tank for me. I told him absolutely NOT . I wasn't going to replace one iffy old rust bucket with another iffy old rust bucket . Finally, he talked me into having it acid washed instead. It doesn't appear to have done any good! I think this old coot was just too god dam lazy to RENU it like I wanted done in the first place... and was willing to pay for!!!
