Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Thanks to SBC....

I just wanted to let everyone know how Peter from SBC worked with me to fix an issue I was having with getting it into gear from Neutral. We isolated it down to the Pilot bearing. Peter also recomending sending him the clutch to check out just to make sure everything was ok there.



SBC ended up sending me a new replacement clutch. I installed the clutch & a NEW pilot bearing. I can once again put the truck in gear from a standstill. The clutch has worked flawlessly since being replaced, & hasnt slipped a bit even under heavy tow.



I just wanted to let everyone know that Peter is a standup guy & I am very gratefull that he worked with me to make it enjoyable to drive my truck again.

Yeah finally, now I can work on the twins... .

When is Carlise? Is it the end of the month? I think so, a friend is taking his truck there, but were suppose to go to the beach that weekend. I would love to make it.

I put in a sbc about 15months ago when my fith gear nut fell off it was one of them ceramic puck clutches ... it sucked ! I put 10000 mi on it till the hub broke and the truck had to be towed back to my garage. Sbc sent me a replacement no charge . . thanks guys. . But about 3days ago i was driving it and having a little fun with the power max 3 on 7 when the boost comes on the clutch is slipping for a bit then holding. I have turned the power down and that sucks the big one because i am afraid it will compleatly fail and it has only 5000 mi on it. Any suggestions ??
