That doesn't make sense

Dealer and I agreed on a price and he goes to order the truck last week. The factory will not allow him to order an engine block heater on a truck for Gulf Coast delivery. BUT, they will allow him to order the snow plow prep package (so I can get the larger alternator) on a truck for Gulf Coast delivery. Supposedly, this "engine heater" oversight was supposed to be corrected in the system this week.

The engine block heat in installed on all trucks. What is missing is the cord to plug it into the outlet.

Like the dealer promised, it became available in the system this week for Gulf Coast delivered trucks. Truck was finally ordered on Friday. Waiting for delivery date.

How did the 6. 7 get in Allegro FRED motorhomes then. FRED=FRont Engine Diesel!

I believe Allegro FRED have a Frieghtline Frame. Friends have one with 5. 9, newer ones have the 6. 7. Saw them at La Mesa RV last Spring.

That is true. However, the agricultural 6. 7 has a different bore and stroke dimension and a structural block.

Thats not entirely true...



I've seen many brand new 6. 7L Cummins common rail engines used on hydraulic pump units for a world wide leader in the frac-pump industry.

Interestly the 6. 7 has not made it to marine use yet. They still spec the 370HP 5. 9 as the largest rec boat engine.

The motor is also used by several Class A Diesel pusher and front engine motor homes. Tiffin , Monaco and Gulf Stream to name a few.
