Yes, but try finding a bulb for that little thing... . , also in that little unit is the buzzer wire for the key switch (i beleive it is the brown one), which i beleive in disconnecting.....
You can take the cover off the steering colume top/bottom with hex or allen wrench to reveal the key light. You have to remove the rod for the steering wheel tilt adjustment first. When I replaced instrument cluster bulbs I had to take off those covers. I think I saw a small bulb for the ring, check the D/C shop manual for the correct bulb number. I'm sure others with more experience will chime in .
my light will not turn off any more. Is the light on a time relay or is it controlled by the door ajar switch?????? I was hooping the thing wood just burn out so I wont half to worry about the battery.

there is a little cylindrical shaped metal thing that looks like an old flourescent lamp starter ziptied under the steering column, that is the timer. I think all I did was unplug mine and now it never goes on.
