Finally got time to hack (and I DO mean "hack") a hole in my bed...

I still need to hook them up, But I am painted them before they are mounted/secured

PS - gotta return these stacks and get the mitre cuts...

Nice! By the look of the tools in the bed you weren't messin' around.

Scott

The funny part is that borrowed a 4. 5 inch hole saw from a friend, Yeah- Like that was going to work, please... .

That lasted about a minute before I grabbed for the rip-saw, and the the cutoff wheel, etc, etc

I driveway was covered in metal...

All in good days work ;)

Looking good!! What made you decide to switch over to miter cuts? Will they allow you to park in the garage w/miters?

TG U're killing me! U finally went and did it! Cool! Don't run biodiesel -- no smoke!!!

I really like this style stack the best. They're old school. I know the mitre cuts are hot now but I like these better.

Was this the Grand Rock system?

That Y pipe in the bed is nicely done.

What color are you going to paint them?

Yep, "grand rock pipes", bought from ED kin at Heavy truck parts Int'l (813-991-7001)- He is BY FAR the cheapest price, And his price (he sells them on ebay) includes chrome stacks, but he was cool and let me downgrade to save a few bucks. .

And the color will be flat black to match my wheels ;) -- Notice that they are set in about 8 inches from the bed sides, I want them to almost hide behide the truck when you look from the front... I simply cut the "L" pipe shorter, nice to have a easy to modify system

As for hieght, I will be cutting them down a bit, I only want about 2-3 inches above the cab - But I will do that later, you know see how it looks with them long first - I only had about 2-3 inches before, So its a no go with the current height

ED shipped me these turn-outs, but I wanted mitre, So I will probably just buy the mitre (non-chrome way less $$$) and keep both, Switch it up every once in a while :-laf -- I thought mitre was more "race" and turnout was more "big truck" So I have no idea which I will end up with

PS - I am trying to find a 180* 4 inch pipe, so I can use my muffler. I know,I know - Stacks deserve a str8 pipe, Dont worry, I will run str8 for a while, I hear that stacks are not quite as bad with the str8 pipe

looks good tomey gun! i better get some coal' rollin video footage from you... . there's a good posibility it will show up in another video :-laf

i like what you got there pipewise... miter cut stacks have never done anything for me. looks  as is right now, and flat black would look nice too [just very hard to keep clean]

I think the turnouts are growning on me

It took about 3 cans are header paint to coat, and I think it needs another coat

PS - Ed Kin called and is getting me my mitre's out today, and he made a good deal to let me keep these... A++ to Ed at Heavy truck Int'l

I just can't do black but but I'm definitly gunna be needing some of those. All in good time..... got too many things to do at the moment.

TOMEYGUN sweet truck, once your stacked you'll never go back, the sweet sound of a straight piped cummins coming out of a big set of stacks :D

Tomey,

Great call on the black. Genius. Really ties in nicely with your wheels and brings the truck together. Mitre or bull horns, leave em black. Looks killer.

Idea: Going on the theme you seem to be working with... . Black out your grille and badging. Even the holy C on the fenders. Could be a PITA, but would really set your truck apart. An idea anyway... Just dont tell anyone. :-laf
