I let my Son drive my beloved beat, he mis-judged a curb and now the front right wheel cover is damaged and the center is missing!

Does anyone have a suggestion for replacements< I fear that if I go to the dealer I will find that the truck is a no cost upgrade to the $35K wheel covers, and they are orderable in matched sets direct from the Franklin Mint! I would replace both front wheel covers for matching efects I am not entirely convinced that the stockers are the nicest looking.

Thoughts suggestions donations are appreciated, thanks!

There is an ad in the classifieds that has wheels and tires for sale I think he said he would spit them up. I sold the complete set for 175 to a person that got all one side (both wheels) and he said that the dealer had told him about 300 for one side front and rear. Might be worth a phone call.

mopar 4 less. . do a search. . don't have the link/tele #. .

The little stainless steel trim ring is $200 FOR ONE. Not counting the center piece. It's literally cheaper to buy ALL NEW FORGED ALUMINUM WHEELS then to buy stainless sims from DC. Yep, it annoys me a bit.

When I lost one of mine I replaced the stainless sims on all all wheels for $195 instead of paying DC $200 for ONE WHEEL. Any tire or truck accessories shop can get you a nice looking set of stainless sims in the $200 range.

Thanks fellows, I contacted mopar for less and think I will be OK for now!!!!!

Ralphr, when I first started reading your post I thought you wanted a replacement for your son. Then I thought that the moderators would be moving this thread. LOL

Check the classifieds and even the wreckers in your area. A good friend found several RAMs at one wrecker.

That's a good one Scott!

The first thing I thought of was... . summer camp for the wounder. I'm glad to hear the woundee is going to be as good as new again (without having to go to the Franklin Mint).

You're all missing the obvious!! I would tell the wife that due to the fact the set is precision matched, machined, and balanced at the factory, it would require a complete replacement set. I would then explain that to save money we should buy that new set of aluminum wheels I've been looking at #ad

I'm just thinking of ways to SAVE money honey #ad

RamKids,
A man after my own heart. I can here it now... . " and believe me honey, with these special matched wheels the milage will probably go to 21+++ mpg. And by trading the entire truck in on a new truck with the special wheels and added safety features, the insurance will most definetially (sp) go down also. So you see its a win win situation, don't waste time waiting on dealer to order new special parts we will just buy a WHOLE new truck with all of the added benefits... ... . " I just wish it was that easy.

Ramkids, Shrimpy, now your talking! As I originally posted the trim rings are what cost the $35K and the truck is just a no cost option! hehehe

I'll try that on the wife and see how far it gets me, otherwise I'll just replace the son!
