Competition Anyone looking for a pulling truck?

Competition Videos from Washington CH DHRA

Just wanted to say thanks to all those that gave me idea's and had opinions on the masive amount of axle hop I was experiancing with my truck. Last weekend I added two 90-10 Drag Shocks to the front axle(in front of the axle) and I had 2 more pulls this weekend on similar tracks to my first two pulls and both pulls were as smoth as can be. Last night was on a nice clay track and when I let go of the clutch at 4800rpm and blew out the tires the front end jumped up (just the frame... not the axle) as the suspension unloaded from the 90-10 shocks and then it settled back down over the rest of the pull.

Here is the video from last night, Pulled 311ft and could have again kept going. Closest truck was 279 which was my brother... I need some competition up here!!!! as I have yet to have the sled actually stop me instead of the flag man.

Oh, Lord! If a certain comp racer sees your post, we'll never hear the end of it. "See? If youd lissened to me, you would of starting winning a long tim ago. Pullers has to use drag rasing parts to win. " Oh, wait. Perhaps you mistyped. You meant to say, "90/10 Sled Pulling Shocks", right? :D :D

Congrats! Now you need to try 90/10 shocks in the rear to see if they stabilize the truck even more. But you might have to go to a more aggressive tire to complete the testing. :)

Ryan, did you get a data logger on yet! I'm wondering what the data looks like... ... . that puppy is making some power, makes me feel like I'm driving a moped.

Jim- LOL... There will be one in the truck by the time next spring rolls around (only two pulls left this year and both are on anything but ideal tracks) so although it would be nice... I will just save a bit more and give my self a nice Christmass PresentOo. Oo. Oo.

It does seem to be making some power... would be interesting in putting it on a dyno but would honestly... I would just rather not know!!!! For now I am just glad the bounce is gone and there are no more bugs that I can see right now that need fixing.

I am planning on bringing it down to Haisleys pull in Summitville towards the end of October to see what it does with a real sled! And next year I am planning on pulling as much as I can in Ohio, Indiana with the DHRA... just not sure how I will do compeating with the Super Street Guys... There are some more engine mods in the works for this winter but I am doutfull I will have anywhere near the motor they have and for next year anyway I will be keeping the 1ton drive-train.

I agree... ... That thing is hauling A**... ... . and still has a lot more in it.

Ryan and his brother did an awesome job finishing 1st and 2nd on sat. night Oo.

Scott

Thanks Scott- It was great you could make it out... there won't be a track like that again for the rest of the season:{ Yeah, I think with a little more tuning and should make a bit more power. Tuff to see in the video's what my fueling mods did but EGT's were about right but the boost was down a little from the other pulls.
