I finally recieved my Buckstop bumpers and installed them. I took some preliminary pictures. I'm extremely pleased with the bumpers.

One thing I didn't get pictures of was the amazing packing job. It took me 2 hours to unpack and unwrap everything. Every single piece was wrapped with foam and then industrial saran wrap. Each bumper was on it's own pallet with a cardboard cover. When I recieved mine, both cardboard covers were completely crushed and ripped. However neither bumper had a scratch due to the excellent packing inside.

The install was pretty easy. Since I didn't put a winch in, two guys lifted the front into place while I put bolts in. Didn't need a lift or a jack. The rear was even easier, I did that myself since it sits right on the stock trailer hitch. The instructions were great for the front. The rear didn't come with any, and didn't need any.

I'll be the first to admit that these are terrible pictures - the sun was going down, the truck is filthy, my hands were freezing, and the perspectives are poor. You can't really tell the color of the bumpers either - they aren't the same color as the truck. They are really beautiful though, silver vein. The lights aren't mounted yet and the aluminum step pads are not on the rear yet (that's why there are so many holes in the top of the rear bumper).

All the pics are in this album. Here are a few:

They blend very well into the Bushwacker extend-a-fenders.

And a couple of rear shots. You can see how it re-uses the stock trailer connector and plate lights. It comes with 3 shaped pieces of aluminum diamond plate that rivet to the top outer portions of the bumper and the step in the middle. I plan to coat mine with some bedliner and use stainless bolts.

Now all I need to do is mount my Hella 500's in the front and pick out some lights to go in the back.

Thanks everybody. :)

RAMINSPEED: Silver vein is a standard color choice for the Buckstops, so no extra cost. They have good pictures of the color here.

GBrzezinski: The factory fogs don't fit, but any 6" aftermarket light will fit. I went with amber fog Hella 500's. I paid about $100 including a pair of clear lexan stone guards. As it stands I bet the rear is extremely slippery, but that is because the diamond plate is not installed yet. The bumper comes with 3 pieces of diamond plate to rivet on to the top of the bumper, as seen here.

Mine's not on yet because one of the pieces is on back order, and once I get it I want to coat them with some Line-X or something before they are installed.

Jengle: Yeah, it sure did. But it was completely worth it. Dorian was great and I am not disappointed about anything.

cpizz: Thanks. If you mean the grille shell, it's a sport model truck so it came that way. If you mean the grille itself, I traded the fake chrome sport grille for a black grille off a normal SLT.

bellyscraper: I don't have one, I don't think they weather very well (from what I read on here). But I do have a vinyl TDR sticker on my back window. You can see it in this picture.

The honeycomb looks much beter. I didn't know that color came in the Sport model. It's the little things that make it look "tricked out". Thanks

Don't feel so bad, it may be 5F here but tomorrow morning I'm flying to Hawaii for a much needed vacation.

cpizz: I couldn't agree more.

It was finally enough above freezing here to wash my truck off. First time since December. The sun was going down when I took the picture, but man, what an improvement getting that coat of salt off:

Thanks.

Two people held it in place while I bolted it on, and it has no winch. . So I'd guess 175 lbs. The shipping weight was about 220 or so with all the packing materials.

Dave,

BEAUTIFUL. 2 questions:

-Do you have a leveling or lift kit?

-Did you notice any sagging of the front end under the new weight?
