I am building my exaust on my conversion project and I mesured the inside of the elbow and it is 1/4" smaller than the turbo outlet. When the exaust gas comes out of the turbo it has to jump over the square lip in the elbow! I am going to make my own adaptor on the lathe. Just thought you guys should know where there is a restriction. You could have a 4" exhast but you wouldn't get rid of that restriction without doing somthing to that cast iron elbow.

Treven.

I would be careful about changing the turbo exhaust size. I think its there for proper operation of the waste gate. I'm no expert so don't quote me. Just look into it further.
