My truck arrived on the dealers lot at about 2:40 pm cst, 21 weeks to the day after I ordered it. I just had time to run by and see it before I have to leave for work. Will have to wait till Tuesday to get it as I do not get home again till Monday night.

Just 4 more days.

Wow

Ouch that's a killer. . . 21 weeks and your baby arrives, you get to see it, but now you have to wait 4 more days to bring it home! :( :(

I'd be telling the dealer to *not* touch it and no one drives it 'til you pick it up.

Niiiicccee truck though

The salesman is a good friend and he said he would guard it with his life. We started it and he showed me that it had 5 miles on the meter, and said that is what it will have on Tuesday. No one will get to drive it. He did say that 3 people want to buy it in the 40 minutes from the time he call until I got there.

Well that is definitely reassuring. I wish there were more salesmen like yours out there! When my current truck came in, they didn't tell me about it for over a day, threw in a bedliner, and drove it a couple miles down the street to fuel it up. I was  It had 12 miles on the odometer when I came to see it.

Having people drool over it should make the owner proud! :D

Only two more restless nights. Keep us informed on your new truck mpg from first tank fill up. Any guess at the two digits that'll show or hope for. Really nice truck. Maybe the weather will be good for a real test drive have fun anyway.

You are right about the restless nights as I am working a 12 hour night shift for both nights. My 93 1st gen has been getting 17 to 18 mpg average and around 10 loaded with a 22 to 23k GCW. I will be quite pleased if I can see the same numbers from the 03.

As an aside the best mileage I ever saw with the 93 was 21. 7.

I had 70 gallons of fuel on board and drove for just a few minutes short of 8 hours without slowing down or stopping. All interstate and no mountains speed about 70mph. Did I ever have to stop when I did!
