Could this work???

You asked, you begged, you pleaded, you demanded, you whined, you even made polite requests...

AND SO IT IS HERE!!!

This is for any type of conversion... Be it Dodge or other brand truck that's had a transplant!

This is for questions, pictures, show-offs, advice, and an archive of good information on how to overcome obstacles.

Since threads are being imported here from time back... make sure you click on the little box at the bottom of the forum index that determines how old of threads you will see. Set it for "the beginning".

Ok, you guys asked... NOW FILL IT UP :)

Dkevdog, I know, only suggested in jest. But, I've given that possibility some thought (some say I've got to much time on my hands). Here's what you do. Take one rolled 2500 auto regular cab truck, remove the body, relocate the engine to a mid engine location, behind the drivers seat. Since it's an auto, no need to worry with a clutch and all that would entail. The radiator and some accessories would remain in the stock location. Cool with a electric fan, prehaps two, access through the van hood. Have a drive line shop fab a driveshaft to tie the auto to the rear yoke (be a real short one).

Then take the cheap long wheebase Caravan or Voyager and with lots of skillfully applied sawsall/cutting torch/welder craftmanship, graft said van onto the truck frame.

Build a dog box for the engine transmission, add lots of insulation and carpet. Button it up and go play:D

There you have it. A slot car like van that gets great mileage, pulls big trailers and runs forever.

Better yet, make it a 4whl dr. :) :) :)
