Found an old Wilton Vise on Craigslist.org

Well finally pulled the trigger and had a shop built on my property. it is a 48x42 with 16ft walls and a 20x14 door. Gonna try and trench the feed in next week if the ground isnt too frozen, then pay a small fortune for concrete.

awesome shop

nice looking shop!! how much did you spend? i am looking to do this in the future as my current building is over 40 yrs old.

I've looked at Morton for an RV barn/shop as well. How long did it take them to erect it? It's hard to tell from the pictures - is it sitting on concrete piers?

We are going to be doing one in the next year or two also. We've talked to the local Morton reps and have been very impressed with their product. They are definately on our short list of builders.

You can't beat a Morton building for a "pole" building. I put up a steel 40x60 steel building last year, and I can relate to the price of concrete. I think in SE NM concrete is rated on the "gold" scale. .

As it sits without the door it was $35K. their bid was within a 1K of Cleary or other similar shops. they buried the columns in concrete. had it built in 5 days. The crew i had building it had between 10-30yrs exp. they were very professional, cleaned up every little piece of scrap. im very happy with Morton

Congrats on your acquisition. May be not the cheapest but the quality is paramount. That said, I love my Morton "man cave" !! Ha ha Oo.

Good looking building! Yep, Morton is the best for a "pole" type building. Do they still have the full replacement warranty if a storm blows the building away?

You must not get much rain since there is only one downspout for the full length of gutter on the roof.

Am I correct that they "sister" the 2x6's vs having 4x6' posts? Nice job!

If I get what you mean, mine were three 2 X 6's laminated together. Prevents warping and spliiting common to regular 6 X 6 posts. This technique also allowed the trusses to sit on the shortened center 2 X 6.

Nice shop!

I had one built back in 06. They used 4x6 pressure treated.
No issues with them. The laminated system is as good or better.
