Duramax in limp mode

Diesel powered supercar...

Why are they doing this? Why not put a 4 bt in a Ram truck today so I can get 30 mpg instead of waiting 3 years for something new that gets 26 mpg and has to have the bugs worked out. They have everything already there that can be shared from the Ram 2500/3500. Just doesn't make since.

Just another step down the high-RPM diesel emissions path...

Pretty sad, actually, since the low end grunt and torque is what got the world started with diesel power to begin with...

With the ever changing characteristics of diesel engines and fuel - compared to the many improvements and extended lifespans of the modern gassers, diesel power is slowly seeing its operational advantage erode away...

Yep what made the diesel great the government and big oil is taking away from it. I often wonder if this ULSD will do the diesel engines what unleded did the gassers back in the 70s. I remember burnt valves used to be common back then.
