What records did you guys set ? I know many guys that you can see there pics in National Dragster that still use the old propane tourch. Ive seen this at events right in the staging lanes... . lol, I think thats nuts but they get away with it.

First, i would like to ask you, have you ever seen a record made in Quick diesel class? or how about ET class????????? well i never have, and may never see one. the reason is because all the focus on diesel racing is on the pro street and the pro mod classes. no one else seems to matter. let me also ask you this was Barry of NADP's 11. 5 last year not a record? or Grey rigs 11. 41 ET back in early spring not a record? and now your saying that Wades 11. 3 ET needs a piece of paper with "record" writen on it to be legit?????

Give me a break.



after talking to the owners of MIR, where this run took place, i was told that because of it being a IHRA sanctioned track and there being no diesel class, there will be no "official" sheet of paper with record writen across it---why you ask?



because according to IHRA, 11. 3 ET was made many many years ago by a gasser, and according to them Diesel does not exsist yet.



But, as the event and the track are conserned it is a record. no other diesel truck---EVER in that event or on that track or any where else in the country has EVER gone that fast in a 04' single charged diesel.



so yes i am saying it is a record, for the Common Rail diesel world it is!



and to make my self more clear MIR has said that Wades truck will be featured on next years flyers, because of the record that took place.

Generally speaking, Records are recognized by sanctioning bodies and they are generally set during qualifying and/or eliminations of a sanctioned race. They then have to be backed up within a certain percentage to become official. I have personally seen several "records" that were not official. And I guess, if you want to get specific... ..... I have the fastest 24v 4x4 2500 with ranch hands and Camel interior in Alabama. My point is, claiming the fastest CR 2500 CC, 4x4 on a single and spray with the tailgate removed only makes you sound goofy. Nobody is doubting that 11. 3x is hauling arse in a CR, but since Barry and Rip have run a half second faster, claiming a record for your particular setup is silly.

there are 3 main types of motors produced by cummins with the common rail fuel system



555 TQ

600

610

and each one responds totally different to power upgrades



with that said



Wade is doing with a 555 and a single charger ( much harder to make power with) with what others are doing with a 600 motor, and twins. (much better for power). do a search and you will see NO one is going as fast or faster than Wade with the slower motor. Not in this country! Period.

NO PAPER FROM SANCTIONING BODY=NO RECORD,ZERO,ZIPPO,NADA,NOTHING



Your claim is like me saying that Dockboy has pushed his down the track faster than you can Wades when they are both broken and has set a record doing it.



The 11. 3 run was impressive from and would be from any truck,period. Calling it a record and advertising it as such without anyway to back that claim up is misleading and could be called false advertising. No one here is saying you didn't run that fast,but,we are calling you out on the BS record claim that is nothing more than FALSE!.

so let me get this straight, since we are breaking up the CR motor records into 3 categories, why did we never do that for the 12v trucks? there are 4 distinict pumps with 4 different hp ratings and different potential and preference. just seems stupid to me, kind of why we call them 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen and not 1st gen nonIC, 1st gen IC, 2nd gen 160 pump, 2nd gen 175 pump, 2nd gen 180 pump, 2nd gen 215 pump, 3rd gen 555, 3rd gen 600, 3rd gen 610, at least for distingishing records being set. then what about transplant pumps, modded pumps, half modded pumps, nitrous (which doesnt add O2 according to someone that isnt allowed to post here anymore), water meth. this is rediculous, they are all dodge trucks, with 3 count them 3 distinct motor styles. i am sure most people would still like to see a dyno sheet or track slip (that isnt screwed up) posted.
