My brother and I made it back. We had a great time. Hope to make it out again. Passed Big MAK on the way back.



Hit the rollers this morning. On the 3 pulls, I avg 357. 9/780. 5. Highest was 363/793. Need the 3k GSK, BAD.



Sure had fun watching the U-Haul truck on the race track. :-laf He was getting faster.

Howdy; was wondering if that was someone from IRP.



Dang was that some hard rain; did you exit before the wall of water? Bunch of idiots parked on the interstate waiting to die when it was raining too hard to see very far.



I'll get more fuel into the engine and better traction and get that sled farther next time!

I followed dsl59 and a couple of other trucks out to the highway Sunday. Good lookin truck. And I passed a guy and his girlfriend w/ a sweet 3rd gen a couple of times on the way home. Had a great time. Good seeing everybody. Too bad about the rain.

Yep, that was me. If I had been thinking, I would've got you on the radio, to see if you wanted to stop at the Flying J in Davenport for some supper. Sharp looking trucks you have. When I passed you, you were only about 15 miles from my place. If you want to meet up for some coffee on your your way thru sometime, let me know.

Been a lot of hard rains threw there this year. That was the worst in a while. I didn't get off in time. Just slowed down. Wasn't crazy enough to pull on to the shoulder to get hit. Bunch of idiots with their lights off, too.



I get to the Peoria area quite a bit hauling grain. For a week or 2, I only had one load or so, that I didn't drive into rain going down, or coming back. Some real dumpers too.

Last pass I saw on Sunday, was 22. 6, @ around 59mph, IIRC.

I believe a rod or two gave up, and much of the bottom end was puked onto the track. There were still big pieces to pick up Monday morning.



It might be fair to say that we've found the limits of at least some parts in the Duramax.

Yep, I heard it windowed both sides of the block. 131k on the stock internals of the motor when she finally let go.
