I believe a rod or two gave up, and much of the bottom end was puked onto the track. There were still big pieces to pick up Monday morning.



It might be fair to say that we've found the limits of at least some parts in the Duramax.

Ouch! I figured it was something pretty significant. If happened right in front of us and I could see shrapnel bouncing around on the track and rolling against the barriers.



You could tell by the inspecter's reaction when he rode the 4 wheeler down there to have a look that it was bad. Were there any runs after that? We hit the road after it rained.

Nope. That was it. Too much rain fell to dry off the track. Then after a brief respite, the skies opened up again, drowning all but our spirits. And we declared, "It's a day. "

There is a new "Rat" Rod shop that opened up in wallingford I drove by yesterday. After seeing a Jay leno special on the Rat club out in cali I have a new found respect for those boys that is for certain!

My father passed away this past winter and he had a 1921 Dodge Brothers that is a long way fron original, maybe a rat rod would be a good idea for it?

there was a group of guys that were having troubles with their "rats" and stopped at the gas station down the street from me. the cars were really cool i didnt get any pix but they gave me a card and here is their website
