Just needed to vent:{

Coming through DC on Monday morning in the pouring down down rain. Lost site of the road right as it splits, the right wheels dropped down 3" into where they were doing construction. Trying to get back onto the road when the rear wheel caught the lip, she spun and all I could do was hang on and go for a ride. Went across 2 lanes of traffic kissed the guardrail, then came back across and ended up sitting sideways with DC traffic going in front and back of me full speed.

I'm safe, but my truck is gone. The only parts of the body that didn't banged up is the left bed and the passenger door. Got underneath the front when we got it to the lot, both sides of the front suspension bent up, and it looks like the frame is bent.

Have to wait a few days for my wife to recover (she wasn't in the truck just upset, my timing is never good) before I start pestering her for a "new" first gen.

Tom

Sad to hear your truck tore up, however the size and worthyness of your First Gen saved you from harm. Blessings to you and your wife, hope she realizes the value of another CTD in to your driveway!

Patrick.

Sorry to hear, bud. Just remind your wife that if you weren't driving a beefy first gen Dodge diesel, you might not have come home from that one.

Are you keeping the old one for parts, or did you let the insurance company do away with it?

dude, sorry to hear about your loss. Good luck on the acquisition of the new CTD whatever it may be for you... . let us know... . god speed and god bless... .

Kind Regards,

John

Tom,

First of all, I'm glad you're okayand I'm sorry about your rig. The main thing is no one got hurt.

At the risk of sounding cold, and I'm certainly not trying to be, I do have a first gen for sale. PM me and I'll send you the details if you're interested. Again, I'm glad you're okay.

John

Thanks for all the well wishes. We are both glad that I was in the truck and not my wifes bug, or her mini van. That would have been ugly.

TSC, We thought about getting it back and salvaging what we can. Unfortunately I'm in Marietta, GA on business and by the time I get back the lot fees will make anything salvaged a wash, and not really worth the time and hassle.

John, you've got a PM
