Duramax draws Dodge owners like flies

Has anyone read Kevin Camerons' "Exhaust Note" in issue34? How about the Phoenix salt flat racer? Now that's an impressive display of Detroit Diesel power! I saw that truck on Speedvision yesterday on a Bonneville special program. I couldn't believe how that thing went and sounded!

that's right

You should have been there this year to see it run in person. Too cool! I want to go back next year. Speedweek is quite the event.

Yhea, I would really like to make it out there! I won't fly, I never liked to. Maybe when my family grows a bit I can plan a trip to Wally World, like the Griswolds did and stop off there. I won't be in a Family Truckster though!

It is pretty impressive to see the smoke coming over the horizon and then the truck go past and disappear into the horizon again. The sound of the Jimmy wound up is also something else. Back in the mid 70's there was a streamliner that had a 6-71 in it. The redline on the engine was 4200. It put out more smoke than the Pheonix. The record still stands at 236.
