I was wanting some advice on what gear size I should run? Here's the combo, a 5. 9L 12V, NV4500 5speed, and 285/75R16's.

This is a Chevy with a Dana 60 front, and a 14 bolt in the rear. I was thinking 3. 73's would put me about right, what do you all think?

I have 3. 54's, running 98 12v, nv4500, and 315/75R16 (35") BFG Mud Terrains. Starts out in second driving normal, Granny pulling a load, cruises 75 @ 19-2000 rpms, gets 20-25 MPG's depending on right foot pressures (RFP) and testastarone levels (TL). :D

http://www.f-body.org/gears/ for a pretty acurate gear/tire/rpm calculator. They already have the NV4500 ratios in a pulldown box at the top left. Was how I figured out I wanted 3. 54 instead of 4. 10. My theory was that since 5th gear towing is a no-no, I could run 70 in 4th easy, and that's the way it works so far.

The 285 is basically a 33" tire, so with the 3. 73's it oughta have a little better bottom end than mine does all together, although mine isn't a slouch.
