I learned today that my sssstststudder may be uncurable

I also learned something today about the ecm and its "fueling states"

turns out the dodge program is set up to run in the "cruise control state" when just maintaining speed ,even with the pedal

then converts to the" continuous shift speed state" as soon as you give her the juice

I dont know exactly what that all means but

it appears that my stumble and shake and hesitation is taking place when the ecm makes that transition

which it makes continuously when Im loaded and holding speed at 58 - 60 mph

the cummins tech couldnt understand why it was running this way but theres nothing he can do about it anyway

I do have a used ecm on its way but I am affraid it will probably do the same as this one because the program is the same

this is the only thing we can come up with because Ive either replaced , tested , reprogrammed everything else that could possibly be causing this ( Ive spent a lot of loot)

I thank all those who have helped me with this issue along the way (too many people to list)

after this, I am all done spending money on this junk pile until I can afford to do a p-pump conversion

I feel that is the only sure fire way to fix it

going to the mechanical side dudes

dont worry I wont trade it off so someone else can deal with it

i should be able to sell enough good parts to help pay for the conversion

Ok maybe this is a question for someone like Marco or something, but why did your problem go away for a while and why don't all the trucks have the same problem? I have a stumble in mine when I'm really putting the nuts to it and I hit like 2200-2400 rpm I will get a stumble. I had used my Comp for 15,000 miles before it ever did this. My first comp died and then they sent me a new one since then I've had a stumble. Swapped boxes with a guy but still had the same thing. My problem maybe different from yours but my questions still remain.

I have experienced a similar problem, but not as persistent as your's. I get one quick shutter, or stumble, then the engine runs like normal. The only cure I have found is to turn off my PM3. (Its not the LP, as I monitor that with a guage, and its probably not the injection pump wire connection, as I use TST's grabber, so it is secure).

I don't know why this solves the problem, as I've run with it on for weeks without the stumble. But every one in a while, the dreaded stumble will strike.

So, for what ever reason, the PM3 is my particular gremlin; despite what TST says!

Do you notice any difference when you turn off all those electronic gadgets?

the studder is the same when I shut it off (any fueling box tst, edge,DD etc) then will slowly disappear over time

it immediately appears as soon as I turn it on again

I have to say though that the tst is the smoothest running box I have

WOT is smooth as a baby's rear

its that in between like when you are following some old fart going 50 -60 mph that I cant hhhhold oon iiiit sssshhakes

I refuse to run a stock truck because of the benefits

there are many 01 and 02 trucks set up the same as mine and some that are bombed to the max and run perfect but for some reason mine doesnt like adding fuel

my 99 ran super

my 02 runs like (&^&^

every 24 valve ive rode in had a certain spot where it has a bit of a shake

mine just has it in a spot where its really noticeable and drives me nuts

like road rage nuts

yah, I could get rid of the stumble by going back to stock but what fun would that be

it aint gonna happen people

Where's Marco anyway

I PMd him 2 months ago and no reply
