On Wed. June 13, 2001 I requested SEPCO send someone to my neighbors house to remove a broken section of a dead tree laying on my main power feed into my home.
The tree service company came out and removed the tree and helped themselves to about $600. 00 worth of my tools.
This tree service company will never be allowed on my property again. I can tell ya this it was not Davey Tree Company.
The thieves were however with the company that uses Orange Trucks.
I did report my loss to the Police, and they do think they have some useable finger prints. But I wont count on them to resolve the problem.
I have since upgraded my security system to protect my roll-away tool box.
Also some things to consider if there are problems in your neighborhood.
Is the meter reader, mail man, lawn man, gardener, painter, home improvement person, carpet cleaner, tv repairman, paper delivery, casing your home for potential items to steal from you?
You can never be to careful when these people come around, be especially mindful of your securement of your property. And be wary of the possibility of a return visit by one of the workers.
