Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) There has to be a WAY!

Gentleman: I am currently in a dilema with the dealer on how to fix a leaking freeze plug that is located on the back of the head on the pass. side. It is one that is approx. 3/8ths in dia. The dealer wants to take the head Off. I realize that it is tight back there but to remove the head seems a little bit much. Does or has anyone had to deal with this or could give some input on how to go about fixing this. I know Murphy`s law will bite me in the $ss when they go fixin something that isn`t broke. thanx PS I`m in a pretty good predicament as fas as time is concerned!!!
