I've been helping out as a beta tester for a new Walbro based LP kit and it looks like it's going to be ready for the marketplace tonight. Here's the website link: http://www.altfuelsolutions.com/servlet/StoreFront

These guys are definitely "customer service" oriented and are offering an awesome kit for an unbeatable price. I've been running their AFS Big Dog fuel system for a while now and it's giving stellar results! Check them out for youself.

I've got some pics of the system installed on my truck, so whoever's interested, let me know.

that Walbro pump is a good pump. It moves enough fuel to power 893 HP when the 95 fass would only sustain 600 HP on my truck.

Saw another thread on this, it is a Glacier system with only minor changes made, so it should be a good system. I am curious as to pricing, do they beat Glaciers price? I have no complaints with what I paid for mine.

BT I'm with you - happy with what I paid for mine too. Rich is good people.
For the rest of our folks out there looking for alternative products _ I'm glad to see there are systems available other than the _A_S.

The "altfuel" system is $299 or "this weekend only" $269 (I think) go to their site and see specifics. However when comparing the two systems there are a few things missing from the altfuel system that is included (at least visible form the two web sites) the Glacier kit (see link in sig) has a manifold that mounts in the tank fill tube for the "excess" pressure from the "regulator" to return fuel to the tank. I'm not noticing the hose size used on the altfuel kit whereas the Glacier uses 3/8 push-lock line. Go see for your self guys - it's good to have more than one option for sure. By the way I didn't see a filtration system available on the Atl site whereas the Glacier offers a 2 micron spin on system - although the mount for the spin on filter is for engine mounting on the 3rd gens, it was easilly used on my 2nd gen frame rail. Of course I am partial to the Glacier system, but as mentioned competion is a good thing, as is more available aftermarket systems. - MHO

The kit comes complete with the "manifold" Joe is talking about, it's pictured on the left in the photograph of the system. The return line is 3/8" and the manifold is placed in the fuel vent line instead of the filler hose.

Like I said, I'm running the kit and from the pump to filter housing is 3/8". The fittings are pushlock and there is an option for a cleanable inline filter that's pretty high quality (10 micron).

The regulator is adjustable by turning the body. It comes preset at 16 PSI, but can be cranked up for higher pressure if you desire.

One added plus is that you're not getting a bag of fittings and having to assemble everything. The pump and regulator come as pictured. Basically, install the pump/regulator to the frame (with the included mount), cut your hose to length, install the end fittings and your finished ... piece of cake to install!

I am not sure I like the lock nut adjustable pressure regulator, I have seen to many lock nuts rattle loose. I prefer the "bag o' parts", allows me to install where and how I want. As far as the manifold pictured at left, it is way to small to be placed in the fuel filler hose, where does it install? Those look like 5/8 or possibly 3/4 hose fittings. I also checked out the website, looks like they are taking products from other companies, changing them slightly, renaming them and selling them as their "new product". Did you see the "Draw Straw II"? I am not out to start any fights, just being observant, I have my own company and have had others copy what I do and while on one hand it is flattery, it also dilutes the uniqueness of your product and others profit from your hard work and design.

You are correct about Vulcan parts being sold on their site, as do other companies sell Eric's parts. Eric is well aware that his product is being sold and, if you notice, it's not being sold under the guise of anything other than Vulcan. The kit, itself, is very much original, containing parts designed by the manufacturer. Why reinvent the wheel? Eric has designed some excellent systems/parts, which are a compliment to other manufacturers' systems. It is nothing more than flattery! :D
