At the top of this page is (or was when I logged in) an ad for a company that sells thermal blankets for Ram's that reduce noise.



How much are these bad boys? The website says call for pricing, which makes me think they are HIGH!.



How well do they work?

I called them several years ago, their very proud of their stuff ~ nearly $300 as I recall. They wouldnt offer any TDR discount and it just didn't seem worth it to me.

I bought the hood liner from them a few years back,looks better then stock(old one was falling apart),can easily be cleaned or wiped down,it does quiet the second genners down a bit when the hood it closed. They are well built(quality stitching/heavy--my guess 20+LBS)),down side they are pricey---paid about $400. 00 just for the one piece. DW

I wonder what kind of difference this makes in temps. Come July when I am pulling my boat I would hate to have overheating or high EGT problems because of one of these.

They are supposed to keep the exhaust heat from leaking to other parts of the engine compartment, so they should help with overheating, not hurt.

I had the covers on my 2001 reduced the impact on long rod trips significantly plus quieter.
