Thermocouple tip??

Recently I had to take my Edge J/A out for a trip to the dealer. I notice my thermocouple is pretty long. It's a lot longer than the one I had on my 02 from TST. In addition to it's length, I noticed some minor dents on the tip that got me thinking about thermocouple breakage. My pyro is mounted pre turbo, right where edge suggested mounting it. What is the life expectancy of a pyro probe tip? I'd like to replace it before it shells my turbo like shrimp and Joe's Crab Shack.

Lifespan on a thermocouple should be extremely long under normal circumstances. But if you're concerned about the way yours looks, there's no harm in replacing it now. It'd be a lot cheaper than a new turbo!
