The housing keeps seeping. I have changed the thermostat and gasket. I have just replaced the o ring gasket again and realigned it still seeeps.

Could be the housing is warped from uneven torque. Put a straight edge to it and check it out.

i agree with illflem, the only other option i could see is put some sealant around the edge of the housing and see it that clears up ur seepage.

I have seen that problem alot

4 out of 5 trucks at work have had the same problem getting the thermostat housing to seal. We have used a little bit of sealant to get them to quit seaping. The housing is farly thick and the screws are small so if over torqued the screws would probably strip out the hole or break.

i don't see any harm in using any, if you weren't having issues then sure there is no reason to use the sealant, but if the housing is leaking i think all you can do is use sealant or replace the t-stat housing.

My 24V does the same exact thing. It is more annoying than anything else. I cannot get it to stop leaking. The leak is so smal, its not a problem,so I live with it.

Did you tell the guys at cummins that leaking coolant all over is a no no also? We have put several new thermostats with gaskets in and they keep coming back 7k later still leaking again. My truck has not had this problem yet, I changed the thermostat last year with the coolant.
