Thermostat

I've read a previous thread about 185 degree thermostats. I recall someone saying about 5$ and change. I went to my local Cummins dealer today. They gave me a part number of 39371 for my engine serial number. I looked at the thermostat and it indicated 190 degrees. They also wanted about $22 for it. Anybody know the right part number for a 185?

Sorry, wrong part # in previous post. Should be 3937171. Also they indicated that 190's are used so as to lower emissions. They did not show a 185 for my engine.
