That looks great, but I have to ask. . in picture (2): is that guy pulling his jeep on a single axle trailer???? :--)

If so, I bet he can really "wag the dog" with that one  ... .

I want to put a hitch on the back of my jeep hauler, so the fishing boat can tag along but the wife is not so impressed with the idea  ... Well it is either that or two cars and she drives one..... WAIT, this could be a blessing in discuise :-laf ... .

Clayton what are those wheels on the Grey Ram, they look great.

The wheels are Sendel "Burst" and the tires aren't E rated (wish they were) but they are BFG 315-70-17 all terrains.

The single axle trailer is scary... We were going around a corner and the red dodge was in front and you get a little bit of sway pulling tandum but his started to sway a little and then all of a sudden it just started whipping back and forth real bad. . It goes flying to the left then back to the right getting a little worse each time. I thought for sure I would see the jeep go flying off the trailer or it tip the 5th wheel over... He got it pulled over and we went to see what had happend and the nut had come of the bottom of the ball of the hitch (new hitch and ball that day). The safety chains saved the trailer and jeep from flying off to neverland. It truly was a scary site.

Interesting...

First, please, I am not trying to flame.

I find it hard to understand how it is legal to double behind a 5th wheel camper (only a boat in WI I think) but not behind a gooseneck. Aren't goosenecks rated heavier in general?

A friend of mine, years ago, (DuallyDean) got pulled over with his 3500 pulling a very stout 16' gooseneck, doubled with a small 2 wheel camper in Minnesota. We redistributed trailers and continued without a citation, but, we were pulled over never the less.

I see dangerous looking multiple stock trailers fairly often too. (One had the reciever lag screwed to the deck of a flatbed!) Have the laws changed lately?

Some states Recreational doubles are allowed. In Michigan you can have a Recreational Double as long as the total length does not exceed 65 ft and that the first trailer is a fifth wheel style (I personally would consider a gooseneck the same) and is designed for recreational living (IE: Camper) Also need a Recreational Double endorsement on your normal operators license.

If you take a trip out West you will find quite a few states that allow doubles when a 5th wheel or gooseneck it the primary hitch. Oregon allowes 3 trailers behind class 8s on the 4 lanes. There are laws on how the hitch is constructed and how many axles have to have brakes.
