275's -- They're in

I put the 275's in on Friday night. I'm sure glad I had the crow's foot, but it is not absolutely necessary. After hearing about injectors 5 & 6 being such boogers (they are) I didn't want to save them for last. I installed injectors 1 & 2 and decided that was enough 'sperience and got straight to those back two. The hardest obstacle I encountered was being able to get enough a$$ on those two fuel line bolts to break them loose. For me the only thing that worked was throwing a towel over the valves and laying across the motor. All told, I had about 4. 5 hours into the whole project. An hour of that was taken up by a thunderstorm that rolled in. The power increase with the injectors is mild, but noticeable. I went from a previous boost peak of 26 to 28 on my initial test run. I haven't really took the truck out and played around yet. I'm not worried about the boost reaching higher peaks. I can feel the power and I am really expecting to have a good response when I tow, which is why I did these two mods to begin with. I drove the truck to Jacksonville Saturday night and got a good 30 mile run at 70 mph plus speeds. All I can say is SWEET :D. EGT's ran 475-525. The fuel pressure readings from both sides of the filter didn't change at all.

As an aside: The stock injectors are soot black. Lots and lotso buildup. If I didn't know how the truck ran with the stock injectors I would swear by looking at them that they wouldn't perform as well as they did.

John... Congrats on the install!

Now you need to update your signature!

Although I don't do it with every tank, I pour some fuel additive in my tank every once in a while... I have seen others remove their injectors that ran additives... they are much cleaner on the tips.

Hey Rob, I'm trying to keep a Stealth signature. It was actually my friend's truck that I did the install on. He was outta town for the weekend;):p ;) I have been using additive regularly (every other tankful for about 12K miles now) and mileage has improved somewhat. I probably should have been adding cleaner since day one.
