Detroit Diesel workers ratify six-year contract
DETROIT - DaimlerChrysler AG's Detroit Diesel workers ratified a new six-year contract that brings production of two truck engines to a Michigan factory in the next two years. The contract covers about 1,300 workers and calls for the additional engines to be built at the Detroit-based unit's Redford, Mich. , plant, the United Auto Workers union said Monday. Seventy-eight percent of the workers approved the accord.
