I have been working for two days to find a thump that sometimes occurs when my breaks were applied hard. At first I thought it was in drive train, so I kicked, pulled and shook the drive shafts. No luck. I removed everything from under the rear, front and bed of truck. Nope. I climbed under the truck to see if there was anything loose. Two hours with a flashlite pulling, pokeing and tearing skin off hands. Nope that wasn't it. Put wife in rear seat. Something is loose under truck she says. I put her in bed of truck, and that lasted until I jammed the breaks on hard and she hit head. You guys won't believe what it finally turned out to be. I shook the rear inner fender wells and on the passager side the plastic pop rivets were loose. This allowed the inner well to move and made a thud sound that carried to the driver compartment. Top that. Oh yeah the wife is still PO'd, but I don't get any noise from the truck.
