I emailed the link to a researcher at work who spends a lot of time on the microscope, she found a link on the page that has a demo of a microscope that plugs into the USB port of your computer. No eyepieces, your monitor is the view. You can then store the image on your computer for printing or sending off. All for $100!

She has been looking for something like this that's affordable for a long time.
