Thinking of Taking the Plunge

Well I'm considering taking the plunge and buying a new truck. I like my current truck, but I just had to drop $2k to replace my injection pump, and my clutch is on the way out. the truck has almost 158k on it but it's in excellent shape with only a few minor whiskey bumps. Anyway I am looking at buying a 2500 regular cab 4x4 ST with the HO and 6-speed. Options list will be short such as limited-slip diff. , towing mirrors and protection group. I want simplistic design. . something with the least amount of electronic stuff to go wrong. I know exactly what I want and a dealership has found the exact truck already built somewhere. I don't know about pricing yet so that's going to be a different soap opera.



What are your views on the '04 trucks? I don't know if this is an '04 or '04. 5 HO motor. What are your likes and dislikes? How do the engines differ from the 24-valve trucks as far as maintenance, ease or repairs, etc? What problem areas should I be aware of in this purchase? I'm trying to get all my information together so I can make an informed decision.

JUST DO IT!!

Just do it you wont regret it. I love mine even if it was a little expensive. I have the HO and it pulls awesome. Good luck
