The Thirteenth Annual May Madness will be held on April 30 through May 5, 2007, in Pahrump, Nevada. Other brands of diesel trucks will be welcome in addition to Cummins-powered Dodges. Most events will be held at Saitta-Trudeau Dodge, at the nearby Pahrump Nugget (the host hotel), and at Preferred RV (the host RV Park). You Rammers better step up this year. You almost got spanked on the dyno by a Chevy Duramax at MM’06. A sled pull is planned, and hope to have it serve as a points meet, so the sled pullers have every reason that they need to attend!

Monday evening (5-7 p.m.) will be early registration. Tuesday will include registration, the tailgate swap meet and a talk on advances in turbocharger by Jim O’Donogoe of Borg Warner Turbo Systems. Tuesday evening there will be a hospitality get-together at Saitta Trudeau Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep. Wednesday will again be dedicated to Recreational Vehicle-related seminars and Safety Day. Thusday, May 3 is Dyno Day. Long-time dyno participant Richard “Mad Dog” Madsen will bring his portable Dynojet to Pahrump for the event. Here is your chance to test that new (?) and see just how much horsepower it really gives your Ram! Last year, the Rammers barely squeaked by Clint Cannon’s Chevy Duramax, 893 to 888 horsepower! At May Madness 2006, over 60% of the dyno results were over 400 horsepower, and 28% were over 500. For MM’07 we plan to have categories for top power numbers by year of truck as well as for horsepower brackets. The vendors’ “Hall of Gottahavits” will be open, at the Pahrump Nugget Ball Room, on Friday and Saturday. Dirt track drag racing and sled pulling are scheduled for Friday evening at the Pahrump Speedway. Sled pulling tech will begin at 3 p.m. On Saturday May 5, we will hold a Best Dressed/Show-n-Shine Truck contest, have vendors in a Hall-of-Gottahavits, and hold technical seminars on popular issues such as power, maintenance, drivetrain upgrades, etc., at the Pahrump Nugget. At the Awards Banquet on Saturday evening, we give away over $5000 in prizes on a random-drawing basis, so each attendee has a chance to win something of value.

It is very important to register for May Madness 2007 early so you and we can plan for a better rally. If you need a one-day pass, vendor space, or special accommodations, contact Joe Donnelly for arrangements: (505) 858-1966 or Donnellyj@msn.com (e-mail).
