There are no words, at least that I know, to describe how I would feel. Thankfully many cities are passing laws to prevent this type of action. My question is, "Why do you need laws to protect innocent people from the government?" Where was the ACLU on this? I can't believe they took that little old lady down like that. I think if they asked, she might have given them the gun. A true black eye for LE. I'd be embarrassed to be associated with NOPD.

A sitting judge recently confirmed one of my worst fears. He made it perfectly clear that, in the US, police powers are unlimited except where restricted by legislative act. So unless there is a law that says police cannot beat up on an otherwise defenseless elderly woman, the police legally and properly disarmed her. And the protestations of us, the people, are to be ignored because there is no law that says, "The police shall not... . "

We no longer live in a constitutional republic. Those who can usurp the most power can and will wield it to their own advantage and are accountable to no one.

AMEN!!! that is exactly the way i feel and many other do the same i know. im prepairing to purchase more assault weapons also, who knows what the times will bring. communism is becoming more apparent in our country, theyll take our rights to buy guns, then theyll take our rights to own em... id like to see them try that in my lifetime... it aint gonna fly, we'll go down fighting. Civil war #2 here we come. (or should i say, itll start back up again )
