I pulled my Ram into my driveway to top off Fluids and air up the tires. Afterwards I saw this under the truck about/no more than 3' from the front bumper and maybe 3' in from the Drivers side.
Its actually Black Rubber/Plastic (not sure why its brown in the photos) and seems to be some kind of bump stop or standoff. The attachment part obviously broke and probably is still in the truck front end somewhere. that end is flat with two protrusions and the end is sloped to go against something round. The angled end shows wear. Its small : 2" by 1.5" by 1 1/8"
Looked all around and can't figure out where it came from or goes.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!

My 2011 has similar rubber stand-off devises mounted above the rear axle on both sides. Keeps the bed from hitting the axles when off roading or carrying a heavy load? Just happened to be crawling under my truck today after washing it and noticed them.

Thanks!

Any idea if this is a significant part worth replacing?
Will be in the RGV in a few weeks and possibly could obtain from a junk yard...Or try to get from a dealer parts dept?
Of course, since it failed, maybe I have other issues in the front end...

Not sure it's "significant" but it looks to me like it helps absorb some of the shock on the grill when closing the hood, and possibly some support once closed. Since it appears to snap in place it likely isn't meant to be removed and replaced. Seems to be about an $11-12 part.

Seems another part number is 55077387AA for a Bumper. Grille. Overslam Bumper. $13.20 at Factory Chrysler Parts.com
Guess I'll look for the one on the other side and determine if it should be replaced too and get 2 of them.

Further investigation reveals neither bumper is on the truck. Fortuitous that one fell off in the Driveway or I would have never know they were missing/"used up". Guess I'll be buying 2 and keeping an eye on them.

That's the bump stop for your hood/grille. There is one on each side by the radiator. I've had to replace the pair on my 04 & my 05. Cheap to buy on eBay or Amazon.
Edit: I see this was already answered but you have my 2 cents.... lol
