How Smart Are You???

These people signed a waiver for the people to load the car at Home Depot and started from Florida toward New Jersey in their Jetta. There are eight 94# sacks of cement in the back seat. The picture was taken in a fast food store parking lot several miles from the Home Depot. The driver was walking around the parking lot waving his arms. :D :D

:-laf :eek: No, he needs a BRAIN if that is for real. I'll buy the sacks of cement but the plywood on top looks like a clever photo edit. Do you know how much that would weigh?!? The roof of that poor little import would probably have buckled, the axles would have snapped, etc. etc. He never would have left the parking lot...

What's supposed to be holding the wood on? Looks spider web or something.....

:--):

I recieved it by e-mail. It does kind of look like the plywood was super-imposed upon the roof of the car. I just thought it was a funny pic.

In the early 1980's I experienced the horror of truckless-ness.

I had a Camaro though, and did a lot of home-improvement work. I hauled alot of studs in that Camaro, and got to where I could haul 12 footers of 2X mat'l, in it. I even took out the pass. seat and figured out a way to load my saw up (somewhat dis-assembled). I've also hauled a lot of 94# of concrete in the trunk of Mom's Monte Carlo.

But it would be neat to know if that picture was real or not.

It is a funny pic. But real... , I am not so sure... Regardless, rrausch has brought out the best point of all regarding the photo:

The ABSOLUTE horror of truckless-ness!!

Thank You LORD, for my CTD!

I saw this a few years ago. Apparently this is a real picture, and yes the car was totaled. No snapped axle, but the shock came through the shock towers. For kicks, I downloaded the pic, and blew it up 1600%. It does NOT look like someone modified this pic. .

pic

yeah, i'm pretty sure this is a made up pic. i've seen the sam pic before, and the interest it generated. most don't believe it. REMEMBER WHEN SEEING WAS BELIEVING???? REMEMBER WHEN YOU COULD BELIEVE WHAT THE PRESIDENT OF THE U S of A SAID??... ... ... truckless..... ah yes, i remember it well. saw the twin turbo stealth in late 1990. coouldn't remember the last time i'd had anything in the bed of my truck... . within 1 month, i was throwing rocks at it. kept it 4 months. got crazier. bought the WORST pickup i've ever had... ... ... bought a P hO rd(S) . :eek: :mad:

The picture is real. The story is almost right. He wasn't going to New Jersey. He was only going a couple of miles. Home Depot even offered to let him use their rental truck for no charge. He signed a waver instead. VWs are tough but not Dodge Ram tough!

I believe everything I see on the internet. Especially the picture of the guy standing on the observation deck of the WTC with the 767 approaching. There was a whole series of pics of the same dude at almost every disaster for the last 200 years. If someone knows where to find the pics, please let me know.

I saw that picture last year. There is also like 50 2x4 back there with the bags of cement. Shocks did break through the floor and busted springs---- story i read was that they were 2 crackheads in the car both sound asleep about 2 miles from the store when picture was taken. I think if you blow up the picture you can see people in front seat:eek: BTW I highly doubt Home Depot offered their truck for free. you spend $2500. 00 at one shot and cant even get a free Home Depot pencil at the register(sorry sir we are not allowed to give them away) and I am a regular at my Home Depot too:( :( :(

truth or fiction

alright, guys, i guess i'm convinced... ... ... i guess... ... . i guess... ... LOT'S OF FOLKS AIN'T GUNNA BELIEVE THAT PIC... ..... :--)

Riddle me this... .

why is the left front wheel oblong?

Why are shadow angles on the car and the load are different?

Tire thickness different between front and rear?

I vote not real!

Dunno' about the VW but I work with a guy who pulled a good one. He goes to Home Depot for some 4x4x8's. Proceeds to load them through the open hatch on his Tracer (or some other POS, whatever it was). While loading, he has one giving a little resistance so he gives it a shove. Crunch, right through the windshield:{

Then there are the getto cruisers pulling out with a stack of plywood on the roof and a bunch of hands reaching out the windows to hold on to it.

Or how about the guy at Home Depot who was trying to find the "perfect" 6x6 and while looking down each one and throwing them to the back , threw one on his buddies fingers. The corner of the 6x6 hit his hand and cut off 4 fingers:{

Never can see pictures

I'd like to see the picture posted (as well as Avitars), but all I ever get is a square with a X in the middle.

Don't know why? Do we need some special software to see pictures posted on these forums?
