Just picked up the new ride last night and I only have 100 mile on her. Ride and comfort is excellent. Power seems to be there if you really want to mash the peddle. Although I do miss the responsiveness that my slightly bombed 01 had. Guess I'll have to readjust to the turbo lag... ... . NOT!! Hopefully the overhead console is somewhere in the ballpark becuause if it is, this should easily be a 19-20mpg truck. As I said, I have 100 miles on it and the guage hasn't moved off of full and the overhead is showing 17. 5 doing mixed driving, on the first tank!!! :D :D My wife and I are headed to KC tonight so I'll keep an eye on the overhead to see what happens when I get it out on the road for a while. Hopefully sunday on the way back I will fill it up and hand calculate mpg.

Good numbers

Well, filled up on the way back from KC last night. Overhead was reading 17. 1 mpg but I hand calculated 16. 7 mpg. That was about 75% highway (65-70mph) and 25% city driving. Not outstanding but pretty good I thought, especially for that being the first tank of fuel run through the truck. My overhead may have been different because I forgot to reset the console until I was down the road a few miles from the dealer (they filled it up). All in all, I am very pleased with the truck and it's performance. Except for the motor idleing way down as you are coming to a stop and you press the clutch. Was there a fix for that? I can't remember, otherwise I'll have to do some searching.
