Those With The Rb1

those of you who have the rb1 radio when you turn on your truck does it always say jeep in the screen? i just installed mine today and wanted to know if this is correct

Should do it just the first time til it talks to the other computers and figure out it is in a DODGE.

As with most items of this nature, give it a good sharp "dope slap". That should get it's attention. Tell it it's a Dodge. This attention getting tip works on children too, when needed. Mine says Dodge when it is turned on. :-laf

I have 2 one in the 2004. 5 dodge 3500 and the other in my 2000 jeep tj. I bought both of the rb1's on e-bay and installed them both myself. They both say chrysler when turned on. They are used for navigation and sireus radio. The reason you have the jeep logo is that the unit in your truck was probley set up for a jeep at the factory. The name does'nt matter anyway it disappears with in a few seconds.

thanks you are all correct however this morning when i started the truck the dodge ram symbol came up in the screen no more jeep thanks guys

Not to hi-jack the thread, BUT, is there any way to not have the RB1 ask for "obey traffic signs ect ect. . " at start up and go directly to the map screen?

Call the phone number on the front of the cd and you will be able to order the new and updated maps cd for around $200. 00
