A few months ago, I installed a pair of TRex coils and Bilstien 5100s to level out my truck. This is essentially the front half of the KORE suspension. I have the 315s, which on paper measure greater than 34", but actually measure 33" at 50 PSI on the truck. I'm still getting some rubbing on the control arms while at full lock and under mild articulation. Is there something I am missing? Now Kent never promised me that there would no more rubbing, but my question is this: How in the heck are you guys running 35" and 37" tires with this system with no rubbing? The truck rides great, a lot better than before on the street, but the truck is not enjoyable to drive off road at all. :{ Are you guys doing anything different?

we all have the rub on the control arms if the tire are on stock wheels. the lift does nothing to increase clearance between the tire and the control arms. but I am not worried about it because it won't really hurt anything.

geesh; and I just posted this same question today. I coulda' tacked onto your thread.

I don't do any hardcore off roading so I don't think it's a problem for me. My post was to see if anyone had a horror story about it or if it's simply a minor annoyance. I'm running 35s; I was wondering if a slightly smaller tire would make a difference; apparently no. I put on the Skyjacker lift though; since I thought KORE would be overkill for my use (if I went with Race or Chase) and I wanted a little more then the KORE level kit. With the SkyJacker I have new, bigger (and greasable) lower control arms and a small leaf added to the rear leaf pack in addition to the taller front springs and new bump stops. Of-course the SkyJacker was about twice the price of the KORE level kit.

I did jump for Bilstein 5100s on KORE's recommendation; those shocks are downright awesome. I though the ride would be a little rougher with the lift and bigger tires and it rides a LOT better. Amazing.

Downright breath taking to look at. I'll get some good pictures up tomorrow in the daylight.

Yeah, I don't offroad hardcore either. My offroading is done while hunting too. But it's always sloppy this time of year so the trails can be adventures themselves with the washouts and mud and such. Sometimes you have to go full lock to full lock just to go straight in some mud. My 315s rub awfully bad, but not on hard surface until I experience some articulation with the turn, like a bump, etc. Kent told me about something to do that involves drilling and placing some sort of stud to prevent the steering from turning too much. I just wondered what everyone else's experiences were. If my 315s rub, the 35s and 37s must also.

My 37 inch MTR's on factory alloys rub very slightly turning to the right. Which wheels do you have? Even pinning it off-road, through quick maneuvers, just to the right it rubs, but I have to turn it almost to full lock. I see some wear marks on the driver's lower arm, but not enough that I feel it in the steering wheel.

Look close and see if you get any rub on the swaybar. I was getting slight rub, until it came off, now no more. I'm sure once I switch to the Toyo 37x13. 5x17's it'll be more rub, and I'll tack on steering stops to prevent hitting.

I've got the OE aluminums. Do you think steering stops are how Kent Kroeker works his suspension to prevent rubbing during his races?

Since it is a race truck, it would be a matter of what the rules alloy him to change. If it is allowed, I'd have to say he probably has them, to not worry about how far he can turn the wheel.

I only slightly rub running Toyo 37" Tires at full lock as King Boardman states... the rest of the time its not even a concern. I preran the Baja 1000 numerous times prior to this race and the last time only days before the race without any issues.

Go Big or don't go at all! Oo.

Merry Xmas boyz!

(Boardman's Response- Court Jesters!). LOL, thanks Greg.

Anyhow, here is shot of the slight rub with 37'' MTR's.
