Anyone running a bully dog torque module?

I am in the market for what to buy and they look interesting since they can be ajusted. Any thoughts or comments.

Better mileage or preformance?

I dynoed the Bullydog Torque Module and a Edge EZ. They made pretty much the same power. I would get the one I could find the best price on. Hope this helps

FWIW: I have had problems with my EZ in the cold wx. In fact I unhook part of it for the winter because in causes a stumble; It is just used as a boost fooler for the colder months.

Some what upset with have a "box" that I can only use 3/4 of the year here in MI. :(

I am not sure if the Bullydog box would cause a stumble as well but being that you live in OH it might be worth researching.

Hope that helps.

On a side note: Edge seems to stand behind their products very well. I wish my EZ would 100% year around.

That is some of the things I would like to know. I don't realy want to buy something I am not happy with. I have talked to several reps for their product but they are all out to sell their product.

That is why I am hoping for some imput here.

Breck,

Have you called edge about your ez problem? I have heard they are pretty good people to deal with and will fix your box probably for free. Just speaking from what I have heard, my comp works great so far.

I have one but I don't think mine is adjustable or at least I have'nt figured it out yet. I have had it since the month I bought the truck, it added a great amount of power over stock. :D :D However I didn't notice any mpg improvements but I never really paid attention to that because I loved the power more than the mpgs. About a year ago I added there 120 injectors and then had the truck put on bullydogs dyno. Good hp numbers, they had just finished their new shop and it was very impressive. If your looking for a good company, their it, great communication with their products and service. Corey

I have a truck almost the same, but i went with the Superchips Programer so far its doing a pretty good job. Because warrenty is still an issue for me, and the amount of hp the transmission can handle.

But keep doing your homework because an Edge rep told a lot of companies put their name on the Edge box. Look at the pictures in the adds and they speak for them selves. Ilearned that at the 4x4 truck Jam. in Indy last fall.

The Superchip Programer has an option for colder weather runinng/startablity. But I'm just a truck owner looking for the best for the best .

amillstream,

Yes I did and they said they know about the problem but there is not a fix at this time. Sent me a new box, but it does the same thing. (nice company to deal with/Edge)

Maybe by next year they will have a fix. I mentioned I would be happy to be a beta tester for cold weather.

I wouldn't even mind lossing a few HP's as so I could use the box and gain some, if you know what I mean;)

I ended up ordering an Edge EZ. Can't wait till it arives. Truck at dealer getting codes reset and lift pump tested. I hope the pump fails so they can replace it. I can pull fuel pressure down to 2-3 psi during hard acceleration. It carries 8 psi on the highway at 65 mph.

Breck,

That is strange that you have a problem with your EZ in cold weather. I had an EZ for two winters here in AK and used it all winter with NO problems at all. I now have a Drag Comp and run it all the time in the winter, also with no problems. I have run both boxes when the temps are into neg. numbers... hmmm There are several memebers of our Alaska club that have EZ's and don't have any problems. Funny it has not poped up here too.

Maybe it has to do with one of the many reflashes or is just particular to a certain year or model (ie auto/sticK) of truck. Who did you talk to at Edge?? I think I would call and talk to Aaron, he has always taken good care of me.

My Comp box gets a stumble at a certen temp. Its not how cold it is, its more just at a certen temp. You go to accelerate quickly and it stumbles for a second and then it goes. I checked all the connections and put the ground wire directly to the battery and it still does it. Just a little scarry at times when pulling out in traffic.

my comp works fine but i am in sunny florida. hehe... bully dog injectors make very large claims and TONS of smoke but the power just isnt there. i like the edge box but i think they are almost all very similar now. you will be happy with either one
