Just wondering if anyone has installed on there truck the 5" turbo back exhaust from MBRP part number s6116al ?

Was thinking about going with 5" mainly for the look.

Do you have any DRONE? Currently I do not with my stock 4 inch and nelson 51" muffler and no cat.

I looked into the same thing, but many people on here told me that you will get drone with this setup. A lot of them suggested the Magnaflow 5" system. More of the magnaflow owners stated that they had little to no drone. If you don't want drone, stick with what you have. Just my $. 02

I have the 5" MBRP, the system fit is very nice, I have not towed with it but just driving around it sounds great. At freeway speeds it is very quiet until I get above 75mph, then it gets noisier but not what I would call a "drone".

I wish it was stainless, we'll just have to wait and see about the longevity of an aluminized system. I purchased it from Mark at DPP, he matched Xtreme Diesels price, so I received it for less than $500. 00 with a 6" stainless tip, free shipping.

I have ran the mbrp 4" for over 2 yrs. and it would drone at 75 mph. I'm now running the mbrp 5" down pipe back and it is much louder at lower speeds but no drone at 75 mph. The 5" has a good sound almost like a 12v and I'm seeing a bit less egts at wot and quicker spool up off idle.

5" MBRP on 06'

I had 5" MBRP turbo back installed on my 06' 3500 about a month ago. The system was the offroad system to be used without the cat. I did not want that simply for the warrenty reasons. The 5" does have a great sound just when idling and running down the freeway with the radio playing I can't here it. If you fuel down a little you can here it. Towing under power it is loud in the back seat. Front seat with radio on it is no bother. My website has installation pics. We modified the cat to 5"s and welded all pipe to it. :-laf I might be a little crazy but it feels like it makes the JBrake feel a little stronger.

How much of an EGT drop would you say the 5" yields over the 4"?

The quicker spoolup sounds nice for my silverbullet !!

Today at the strip it was 75* and I was just aproching 1400* at 1320 ft. and by the time I got to the ticket booth I was under 450*.

I had the 5" MBRP on my truck with no kitty and not towing it is okay. Towing it was very loud in the cab. If you left the cat on it probably would be okay. I took the 5" off when I installed my twins. I installed a Volant system and now it is so quiet in the cab I can't hear any drone at all. With the window rolled down and you get on it, it sounds great out the back.

I went with the motoblue 5" from rpm outlet, and I am very happy with it. I've had the banks 4" which was nice but a little on the quiet side. I also had the aeroturbine which was too loud and airy (lots of drone). The 5" is just right, not too loud, nice turbo soud, very deep sounding.
