The thread, "ATS--Only Trans. Builder To Make "The Most Memorable Article" List In TDR Mag" has been removed from the TDR Discussion Forums.

I have taken this action after being requested to intervene.

It served no productive purpose and was interpreted by a number of users as antagonistic with nowhere to go by down.

If you have any concerns with my action, e-mail me directly at: rpatton@ix.netcom.com.

If the rule had enforced about DTT people posting in an ATS thread the problem would have been resolved. Perhaps instead of removing an entire thread next time why not apply the rules on transmission discussions instead.

I agree. I started the Thread.

I intended to congratulate ATS and Clint Cannon for having Bill Swail's article (about installing the ATS in his Earthroamer) being voted "Most Memorable" by the TDR membership. It was intended as a tribute to ATS.

The fact that the Management of the TDR Forums would NOT enforce the rules, and repeatedly allowed other Transmission users to post on the ATS Thread was disappointing.

What is the use of having rules if they are not followed?

What, exactly, was antagonistic about congratulating ATS for the article?

For the facts are no other Transmission Vender has ever achieved this acccolade.

These are facts are they not? What is antagonistic about facts?

Please reply here if possible.

edit: I don't mean to be argumentative here. I'm only fighting for what I perceive to be right. Sorry if I offended anyone.

There was a post directed at Steve St. Laurent. The last 2 posts got ugly...

I saw it and then looked for it a few minutes later and it was gone.

Does it really matter what transmission's we have in our trucks anyways?
