threw a code today i have never seen before

threw a code today that I've never seen before , rail pressure to high, i cleared it out and drove the trick for another 1/2 hour and it was fine , anyone else ever seen this code ?

Well if you mean P0088 Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High, then I have thrown that code a couple of times at the track. It did not seem to affect the truck running and I would just clear it. Never threw it on the street only on the track with BD Triple Dog w/CL stacked and TST up too high.

well i tried to download a smarty over the weekend and it kept coming up error, unknown software , come to find the ecm has a file that is corrupt , i am hoping a reflash at the dealer will cure it ,

i bought the truck used with 1700 miles on it , never put a plug in tuner on it , just a tst box , i did have it reflashed about a year ago for the door alarm thing when in gear, i hope tonight they have time to squeeze me in and then i can try to download the smarty again ,

That is the same code mine has been throwing, and if you do a search for my posts you can see dodge has had my truck for 3 weeks over it. Mine was running 27psi rail pressure at idle.

My truck threw the check engine light a couple times when ive had the rail pres up to 4 or above with a quick stab of the go peddle but never brings up a code and after i shut the truck down for about an hour the check engine light gose out! Anyone ever have somethin like that?

well i took it back to the dealer and there is no available re flashes or updates to do to my truck , so i don t know what else to do so i can download a smarty onto my truck , my diesel guy is working on it with marco though

It would not surprise me that the previous owner tryed a downloader,had issues and dumped it. The out of park alarm doesn'thappen in the ECM,it is ccn and fcm only. Another posibility is you need to download a newer version of the smarty because you have newer software in your truck than your Smarty has.

Io Have Been In Contact With Scott At Massdiesel ( My Diesel Guy ) And Marco And Tried To Re Flash It Last Night At The Dealer But They Checked Everything And There Was No Reflashes Or Current Updates To Do On My Truck , Kept Coming Up On The Drb No Flashes Available , So I Guess I Am Stuck With This Ecm , Maybe I Ll Try A Super Chip Just To See If It Works , I Can Get Use Of One For Free Just To Try It ,?
