I posted last week re. the TPS -- - - - Turned out it was the APPS new name for the same item - - change it out and cured the failure to down shift. I now have a code of P0216 Fuel pump timing.

Whats the fix? Is it something simple or involved?

Also still looking for a Dodge dealer in the Canton Ohio area - - anybody got an idea.

The 0216 code usually means your VP pump is going bad. Clear the code and see if it keeps coming back. The pump costs anywhere from $900. 00 to $1500. 00 for a reman. Every once in a while you can clear the code and nothing happens after that. Usually if it keeps coming back you need a VP. When you change the VP you might as well change the lift pump too. Try everything else possible first. It may save you a lot of money if you get lucky and find something else. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? Have you noticed any driveability problems or loss of power? That can also help you determine the problem.

Thanks cumminspwr- - - I'll go that direct ion, shure hope I don't need an injection pump.

Yes there have been some dirivability problems, the worst being loss of power in the AM or after it has been sitting 6-7 hours. There is no power/little throttle response, and then after 30 seconds it takes off like a banshee, and no trouble the rest of the day. Road power is good. (60/75 mph)
